Nicola specialises in public law matters, assisting parents and grandparents in matters involving Children’s Services and the Local Authority.
Experience
Nicola started as a Legal Secretary in the Family Care department of a local firm in 2010. During her time there she studied through CILEx Law school to achieve her Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice – Family Law in 2016, achieving distinctions in the majority of subjects.
Nicola joined Alsters Kelley in February 2017 as a Trainee Legal Executive and in February 2018 she qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive. She is now based in our Nuneaton office, working alongside Adrian Bannister.
Career
Nicola regularly attends Court, Child Protection Conferences and pre-proceedings meetings with clients. She has assisted clients on matters including care, emergency protection, secure accommodation and special guardianship proceedings and appeals in the Royal Court of Justice in London. Nicola particularly enjoys assisting vulnerable parents through the court process.
Hobbies
Nicola enjoys the great outdoors. Her main hobbies are canoeing and kayaking, in which she coaches and leads for a local club. She also enjoys skiing and mountain walking.
