John Padget, Wills & Probate solicitor at Coventry & Warwickshire law firm Alsters Kelley LLP recently attended an ‘Inspiring Action’ legacy event hosted by the charity Practical Action.
Practical Action is a locally based charity which helps people all over the world living in poverty and the purpose of their event was to provide their supporters with a real opportunity to learn more about their work, their vision for the future and to hear how their support is making a lasting difference to poor people’s lives.
The event was held at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford upon Avon and guest speakers included Paul Smith-Lomas, Chief Executive of Practical Action and Nazmul Islam Chowdhury, Project Manager from Bangladesh who shared with the audience how an innovative, simple solution of growing pumpkins has helped to transform the lives of over 30,000 extremely poor people in Bangladesh.
Dr Clive Quick, a supporter of Practical Action also spoke about why he supports the charity and why leaving a legacy is so important to him and the charity.
