Alsters Kelley LLP Private Client Department is offering a free initial meeting to any HSBC customers who have recently received a letter saying the bank will no longer offer probate services from as early as October this year.
The letter also asks customers to make decisions about their executors, as the bank will no longer be acting in the future.
HSBC recently announced they were selling their Wills & Probate service to a company called Simplify Channel Ltd. In the past, it has been common for people to prepare their Wills using their banks and in doing so; appoint their bank as their executor (the person who administers their Wills).
