The Implications of Brexit

Following the recent referendum where the UK voted to leave the European Union, Brexit is now a reality.

Whilst there is limited immediate impact of the leave vote there is plenty of uncertainty but it’s important to emphasise that all legal rights and obligations remain unchanged.

We remain a member of the European Union and therefore EU law still applies.

What we don’t know yet is how and when we will leave the European Union and what shape any future relationships with the EU will look like.

This vote is unprecedented and there are an enormous amount of unknowns but the impact of Brexit on the UK’s legal system could be wide ranging in many areas.

We will post articles on our website on particular areas of law that will be more affected by these future changes.
