Kiran is a Litigation and Dispute Resolution Solicitor with over 15 years’ experience in contentious work. She has practised in the field since 2009 and qualified as a solicitor in 2012.

Experience

Kiran has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution. She is skilled in preparing clients for mediation, managing negotiations on the day, and working with opposing parties and their advisers to achieve settlement.

Her experience encompasses a broad range of disputes, including:

  • Contested probate and inheritance disputes
  • Property contract disputes including:
    • landlord and tenant disputes including Rent Repayment Orders and property possession claims
    • commercial leases, terms and service charges
  • Commercial disputes and contractual claims
  • Construction claims
  • Neighbour and boundary disputes
  • Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act (TOLATA) claims
  • Return of Goods applications

Kiran also has experience in matters involving international elements. This includes cases where assets, parties or contractual relationships span different jurisdictions.

Kiran is a strong advocate of early and constructive engagement where appropriate, while remaining a robust litigator when matters cannot be resolved consensually.

Career

Kiran worked in Central London early in her career, where she developed a strong foundation in complex and high-value disputes. She later relocated to the Midlands, bringing City-trained experience to a regional setting. She joined Alsters Kelley in September 2025 after working for a firm in Central London.

Hobbies

Alongside her legal career, Kiran is a mother of four children, including twins. While litigation can be demanding, it is rarely as tough as being a working mother of multiples – an outlook that underpins her calm, pragmatic, and solutions-driven approach to every case!
