Julie McGarrigle, Business Development Director at Alsters Kelley Solicitors Ltd recently took part in The Myton Hospices 10K Moonlight Walk around Warwick.
Julie and her family took part in the charity walk in memory of her sister Racheal, who passed away in April 2008 and spent her last three weeks being cared for at The Myton Hospice in Warwick.
The Myton Hospices have said the event was one of their biggest and best ever, with 2,100 people taking part and raising a massive £231,087.
Commenting, Julie said, ‘It was a fantastic event, fabulous atmosphere and so well organised. My family and I are super proud that we raised £2,781 between us and that we were able to take part and contribute to the total raised. Huge congratulations to everyone involved in staging the event.
As a family we will always be very grateful for the care, dignity and kindness they gave to Racheal during her final few weeks and to the support they gave to all of us and we will continue to support The Myton Hospices as much as we can.
