Judging complete for Ladies First Professional Annual Awards 2022

The ceremony to be held on 24^th March at Coombe Abbey, has 29 award categories in total, everything from Inspirational Woman to Unique Business and Achieves Through Networking to New Business of the Year. These popular awards will celebrate amazing individual and businesses successes and raise funds for St Basils and Suited for Success.

High standard of entry

But before the glitz and glam of the awards night, Julie McGarrigle, Director of Business Development, had to complete the difficult role of judging some of the awards. And that was no small task thanks to a record 270 entries across all the awards, which were of a very high standard.

This year Julie was tasked with finding winners in each of the following categories:

• Business Woman of the Year
• Inspirational Woman of the Year
• Family Business
• Family Business – husband and wife

Julie said. “I really loved being involved with the judging. However, this year it was very hard because all the entries were of an extremely high quality. It was great to hear the finalists’ stories and learn more about their successes. I also enjoyed meeting them all and finding out more about them and their businesses. However, when it came to decision time, all the judges were in full agreement. And as for the winners, they thoroughly deserve their awards, and I can’t wait to see their reactions on the big night.”

Recognise success

As well as being a headline sponsor of the Ladies First Professional Development group, Alsters Kelley Solicitors also sponsored both the Family awards. Julie commented on why the family award categories were important to the firm.

“At Alsters Kelley we are not only passionate about our business, but also relish working with our clients who run their businesses. Although we are not a family business we feel like a family and as a group of Directors we are remarkably close. As such, we recognise the huge amount of time, effort and passion that the people who run these businesses put into their organisations and think it is important they are also recognised at awards such as this.”

Opportunities to flourish and achieve

Alsters Kelley Solicitors like being involved with Ladies First because as a local company with a large number of female employees they believe more women should be given the confidence and opportunity to flourish and achieve. These awards are a great way to showcase and recognise those women and will hopefully be able to inspire and motivate others on their personal and business journey.
