As we look forward to a new year we can reflect that 2015 has been another good year for us and looking back over the last 12 months we have had plenty to be proud of including the firm celebrating its fifth year as a Limited Liability Partnership and the launch of our new look website in June.
We also continue to be placed in the Legal 500 book, a prestigious publication providing independent analysis of the legal services market. Particular mention was made of the strength of our Clinical Negligence and Crime Departments.
In November, we not only retained our LEXCEL accreditation, which is the Law Society’s practice management standard, but we also achieved the new level 6.
As a firm we made some key personnel appointments with Jeannette Newton joining us in March as our full time Finance Director and in October we announced the appointment of Tony Hall as Head of our Clinical Negligence & Personal Injury team.
Further staff changes included, Joanne Herbert, promoted to Head of Commercial & Residential Property, the Private Client Department in Leamington Spa welcomed Wills & Probate Executive Kiran Rai, Helen Morton, Solicitor joined the Family Department in our Coventry office and Stephanie Osbourne, Solicitor joined the Commercial & Civil Litigation team in Leamington.
We also had to say a very sad goodbye at the end of November to Tim & Elizabeth Fillmore from our Private Client Department, who both retired after working for more than 70 years between them at the firm, but we wish them both a very long and happy retirement.
Externally, as part of our support for the local communities that we work, live and operate in we sponsored the Save the Children Christmas Fair for a second year where they raised a total of £4,800.
In addition, our dedicated staff have raised thousands of pounds for a number of charities this year through a variety of activities, including over £3,500 from our annual fashion show in aid of Grapevine and over £4,000 from Will Aid and a further £1,070 for The Myton Hospices through the ‘Make a Will’ initiative.
Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our clients, professional contacts and staff for all their support and to wish you and your families a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2016.
