Mrs C had been represented by other solicitors in a claim against a local NHS Trust arising out of negligently performed urology and colorectal surgery. Although an independent expert was instructed to consider negligence, Mrs C was advised that the poor outcome of her surgery was due to a known risk of the procedure and there was no breach of duty.
