Animal Attacks

The Claimant visited the Defendant’s property with her daughter.  The Defendant had hold of the dog by the collar as she met them at the front door of the property.  As the Claimant bent down to adjust her shoe at the threshold of the property the dog bit her face.

The Claimant suffered lacerations to her upper lip and her nose and was left with facial scarring.  She also suffered dental injuries and was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The Claimant was a self-employed beauty therapist and as a result of the ongoing psychological injuries she was unable to return to full time employment and suffered significant loss of earnings.

The claim was settled in the sum of £65,000.
