Last year the staff at Alsters Kelley continued their commitment to raise money and to support two local charities in Coventry and Warwickshire.
South Warwickshire & Worcester Mind and Doorway which is a charity based in Nuneaton that supports young homeless people were the firm’s two nominated charities who will both receive a share of just over £1,400.
Staff from across all five offices raised the funds through various events and activities including; Dress Down Fridays, a quiz held at The Windmill pub in Leamington Spa, a Euros 2024 sweepstake and a number of cake bake-off competitions.
As well as supporting these local charities the staff have supported a number of other charitable national initiatives like Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning, the Wear It Pink (breast cancer Now) and the Save the Children annual Christmas jumper day.
Supporting the wider community
In addition, to the firm hosting their own events a number of staff supported other external fundraising initiatives, fashion shows, fundraising galas, quizzes and a wreath making workshop which were all raising monies for some amazing charities including; The Esther House Project, The Giles Brain Tumour Trust, Young People First and Prostate Cancer UK.
Julie McGarrigle, Alsters Kelley Business Development Director, said; ‘It has been an amazing effort again last year with our charity fundraising and we are very grateful to all our staff who continue to support our charity initiatives. Also, special thanks to our charity champions who have made it all happen with their co-ordinating and organising of the events.’
Going forward
‘In 2025 we will again be supporting local charities and participating in some of the national charity initiatives wherever we can. I think we are all very aware that in the current economic climate a number of charities may be struggling, so we will endeavour to do our best and look at how and where we can offer support.’
