Charley celebrates 10 years’ service at Alsters Kelley

The champagne was cracked open at Alsters Kelley in Coventry recently, as Chartered Legal Executive Charley Barker celebrated 10 years’ service with the firm.

As a thank you for her service and to help celebrate, Catherine Stephens, Head of the Family Care Department presented Charley with the bubbly!

Charley started her career with Alsters Kelley in 2006 as a legal secretary. In 2007 she was made a trainee legal executive in the Family Department and undertook most of her training through home study, finishing the course at Open University in London. She qualified as a Legal Executive in 2013 but specialised in Public Law after maternity leave in 2011.

Charley said ‘I thoroughly enjoy my role here in the Family Care Department at Alsters Kelley. I like helping people and what we do matters. It makes a difference when you are fighting to keep a family together, fighting for life long family relationships and fighting for support, which is not always available. It is a very intense and fast-paced role but the team here is really close and we all work well together. My 10 years here has gone so fast!

Catherine Stephens, Head of the Family Care Department at Alsters Kelley LLP said, “Charley is a huge asset to our team here in Coventry. She has worked so hard – starting as a legal secretary and is now a very well respected care practitioner – many congratulations.”
