Accidents at work – Forklift injury

Mr S was involved in an accident at work, whereby a forklift ran over his foot. Liability was admitted by the Defendant’s once our claim form had been submitted.

Mr S sustained three broken bones and soft tissue damage to his left foot. He underwent physiotherapy and psychological therapy. An MRI scan found arthritis in the second tarsometatarsal joint and calcaneocuboid. Mr S remained far from normal in terms of his functional abilities and was significantly incapacitated, both by mechanical pain from his injured foot and the development of neuropathic pain from the dorsal aspect of his foot.

Mr S will require long term orthotic care and ultrasound guided injections with the possibility of future surgery.

We successfully settled the claim against The Defendant and secured a six figure settlement on his behalf.
