A+E/Ambulance

Huge numbers of patients attend accident and emergency departments across the country and come into contact with paramedics and ambulance staff. Most of the time the service provided is of a high standard. However, sometimes things go wrong, which can have devastating consequences.

Patients are entitled to expect a reasonable standard of care and if you have concerns about how you were treated, you may be able to investigate a clinical negligence claim. This can help you to understand what happened and why, and whether anyone was at fault.

We have experience in assessing accident and emergency claims. Cases often involve failing to perform or interpret x-rays, resulting in a missed diagnosis. Conditions may not be diagnosed accurately or quickly enough, which can lead to a worsening of the condition and further injury.

Claims against the ambulance service often involve improper handling of patients, for example in spinal injury cases. Staff may also delay or refuse to take a patient to hospital, not appreciating the seriousness of the injury or illness. This can lead to a delay in treatment.

If you have concerns about the treatment that you or a loved one has received, please contact us and we will discuss with you whether you may be able to investigate a clinical negligence claim.
