Gursharon Kaur Gill

Speciality: Family Private Law and Legal Aid injunctions and child arrangements
Phone: 01926 356018

Sharon advises clients in all matters concerning family law, including domestic violence injunctions, child arrangement disputes, divorce and finances. Her priority is to provide high level client care and advise on realistic prospects of success. She also works hard to negotiate settlements outside of Court so as to limit costs incurred by the client.

Sharon studied Business Law LLB Hons and completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2016 at Leicester Institute. She qualified as a solicitor in November 2018 and recently joined Alsters Kelley in February 2021.

Sharon is very proud to have been able to represent clients in Court for domestic violence/abuse situations. She has obtained emergency injunctions within 24 hours to protect not only the client, but children in the family home from domestic abusers. She has further obtained emergency orders for children to be returned to their primary parent. She is able to identify risks to vulnerable adults and children, and ensure they are protected under the UK Jurisdiction.

She was also proud to represent a client at a final contested child arrangement hearing and in preventing the other parent having direct contact with the child due to historic sexual and emotional abuse. In addition, she secured a bar for any further applications for contact to be made. Her forthright approach is that the overriding principle is her duty to the child to ensure they are safe.

Away from the office Sharon enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys baking treats on the weekend with her nephew and niece.
