Matt is based in the Property Department in our Leamington Spa office. Matt assists the Solicitors and fee earners with residential conveyancing transactions including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, mortgages and remortgages.

Matt works on the files right through the conveyancing process, from providing quotations and taking initial instructions, opening files, raising and replying to enquiries, assisting with exchange of contracts, to post exchange and completion work and closing files.

Experience

Matt obtained a 2.1 in his Criminology and Criminal Justice degree in 2011 before going on to graduate from a Law Master's degree (LLM) with a Commendation in 2013 and also after completing the Common Professional Examination.

In July 2016 he graduated from the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Birmingham, again with a Commendation.

Matt has been at Alsters Kelley since August 2016. Prior to his current role he first started as a Legal Secretary, progressing onto a Paralegal within the Family Care Department. Previously to this he worked for two years as an advisor at the Citizens Advice Bureau and has worked alongside adults with mental health issues for four and a half years.

Career

Matt is in the early stages of his career but eventually wants to qualify as a Solicitor. He has already assisted with many cases both prior to and since joining Alsters Kelley Solicitors. He loves to make a difference to people's lives and fully believes in a 'client' focussed service which he is always conscious of when dealing with our clients on a day to day basis.

Hobbies

Matt loves the outdoors and enjoys camping and touring. He has climbed Ben Nevis mountain and when he gets the chance he wants to complete the three peaks challenge. He also enjoys going to the gym and staying reasonably healthy.
