Equality & Diversity

Alsters Kelley Solicitors Limited is an equal opportunities employer. We are committed to ensuring within the framework of the law that our workplaces are free from unlawful or unfair discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender re-assignment, marriage and civil partnerships, pregnancy, and maternity, race, religion, sex, sexual orientations, membership or non-membership of a trade union, or any other irrelevant factor.

We value equality and diversity and are committed to promoting it within the workplace by seeking to ensure that all individuals are treated fairly with dignity and respect and by recognising and encouraging individual contribution within the firm.

We are committed to equality and diversity in the workplace in the following ways:-

  • By creating an environment in which individual differences and the contributions of our staff are recognised and valued.
  • By upholding the right of every employee to work in an environment that promotes dignity and respect to all, with no form of intimidation, bullying, harassment or victimisation being tolerated.
  • By dealing with acts of discrimination, bullying, harassment or victimisation against employees, clients or visitors under the Firm’s disciplinary procedures.
  • By ensuring that training, development and progression opportunities are available to all employees.
  • By regularly reviewing all our employment practices and procedures to ensure fairness.

We aim to ensure that our staff achieve their full potential and that all employment decisions are taken without reference to irrelevant or discriminatory criteria.

We are committed to ensuring that all our staff and all applicants for employment are protected from unlawful discrimination in the workplace. We endeavour not to discriminate in the areas of recruitment, selection, promotion, transfer, training, access to benefits and services, discipline or dismissal. It is also our policy that all employees should be allowed to work in an environment free from harassment, bullying or unsolicited or unwelcome comments or overtures on discriminatory grounds.
