Geoff Brooke-Taylor, a partner at Alsters Kelley and chair of the Business Development Committee at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, has welcomed business people from across the region to the theatre’s annual business breakfast.

About 70 people heard Geoff explain why his firm had become involved with the theatre’s business membership scheme, the Directors’ Club, and he urged others to follow suit.

“The Belgrade is key to the regeneration agenda of the city and region and plays an important role in attracting and maintaining high quality employees to the area,” he said.

“Businesses should support their theatre – and not just for the tangible benefits, the exposure to the audiences and tickets to shows to entertain clients. The Belgrade relies on our support to develop its exciting variety of drama, which is fast making it one of the country’s leading producing houses.”

The networking event has run since the theatre reopened following its £14m redevelopment and is a chance to highlight its successful productions. Head of development David Jane also spoke about how companies now use the Belgrade for meetings and conferences from eight to 850 people.
