Anjalee studied law at Nottingham Trent University and completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Nottingham Law School where she was awarded a commendation. “Completing the LPC was a huge achievement for me, especially because I was working full-time at a law firm in Birmingham and part-time in retail while I did it,” said Anjalee. “I’m really excited by the opportunity to take up my training contract at Alsters Kelley. The people here are very friendly and I’m looking forward to working as part of a forward-thinking and professional team. I’m hoping to learn from their experience in a lot of niche sectors.”
Balraj studied law at Keele University before completing his LPC at Birmingham College of Law. After graduating, he worked as a paralegal in the family department at a Birmingham firm where he also gained some experience in criminal law. He joined Alsters Kelley in July 2008. “I’ve been working as a paralegal in the family department for the past year,” said Balraj. “The firm has a good reputation in the local area and I’m looking forward to building on the relationships and skills I’ve already developed here.”
Neil Raiseborough, training partner and head of the private client department, said: “We’re delighted to offer Anjalee and Balraj training contracts with the firm. They’ve proven themselves to be hardworking, dedicated members of our team over the past year and they have bright futures ahead of them.” Anjalee is starting her training contract in the company and commercial department while Balraj begins his traineeship in the family department.
