Both Ian Burr and Dawn Short have joined Leamington’s Alsters Kelley from Ollerenshaw.
Ian, formerly head of commercial property at Ollerenshaw and founder of Ian Burr & Co, has been appointed as a consultant. Dawn, who joined Ollerenshaw as a solicitor in 2006, will also take on the role of consultant.
Having operated his own firm for over 30 years, Ian brings with him considerable experience and expertise.
"Alsters Kelley has a good reputation in Warwickshire and does some great work for clients in the local area,” said Ian. "Having been in Leamington now for over 30 years, it is important to me that I am able to lever that first-hand knowledge of the area to help clients solve some of their more complex commercial property problems.”
Dawn was born and bred in the Leamington area before attending university in Sheffield and then returning to Wragge & Co in Birmingham to undertake her training contract.
"I’m looking forward to growing client relationships in this area,” said Dawn. "Alsters Kelley is one of the few practices to be growing at the moment and it’s exciting to join a dynamic commercial property team with strong links across the whole of Warwickshire.”
Managing partner Catherine Wahlberg said: "at a time when many firms, especially commercial and residential property departments, are suffering at the hands of the economy, we are delighted that both Ian and Dawn have decided to make the move to Alsters Kelley.
"They are both well-regarded on the Leamington commercial property circuit for their professional and approachable work-style. I believe they will further fortify what is already a formidable service we offer to commercial property clients.”
