Four members of the Nuneaton office of law firm Alsters Kelley are celebrating clocking up a total of 90 years of service between them.

Leading the way is legal secretary Andrea Law, who has just completed 27 years with Alsters Kelley, formerly RS Bull & Co.

Andrea joined the firm as an office junior when she was just 16 and has worked across the civil, criminal and family departments. She is now a legal secretary in the family department working closely with partner Teresa Mannion.

Andrea said: "Time has just flown by. When I started out, all our typing was done on manual typewriters. There have been huge changes to IT and technology. I remember the ‘wow’ moment when we got the first fax machine in the office. It is certainly a lot quicker and more efficient to get things written and sent out now.

"I went part-time after my children were born and that flexibility has been here throughout. At Alsters Kelley, there is a real commitment to making sure that work is able to fit around family commitments wherever possible.

"I still see people coming in today who were using the firm when I started 27 years ago.”

Family law partner Teresa Mannion said: "It is great news that we’ve so many colleagues here in Nuneaton who have found job security with the firm.”

Joining Andrea in making up the 90 years of experience are Sarah Darby, who started as an office junior and, 23 years later, is now a fee-earner in the private client department; Alison Pegg, who started in 1986 and Lucy Bradford who began work as an office junior 18 years ago in 1991 – both now legal secretaries in the private client and company commercial departments.
