Alsters Kelley LLP is celebrating the appointment of a seasoned employment solicitor who will drive through an important initiative- offering clients a niche service in business immigration.

Liz Carney, who joined the firm this week, has a wealth of experience in employment law and employment-immigration crossover matters, such as minimum wage and discrimination in employment claims, having previously worked at national firm Thompsons and as a Sole Practitioner employment specialist.

Not only will Liz advise as a lawyer in her new role, but she will conduct training courses for employers needing to hire foreign workers, ensuring they know what documentation to obtain, check and retain when recruiting foreign nationals to work in the UK and help avoiding their businesses from incurring large fines.

“Liz’s niche legal expertise and experience in delivering training courses in best employment practise makes her a very key appointment for us, as we diversify our services”, says Louise Harvey, Partner and Head of Immigration at Alsters Kelley LLP.

“Importantly, she is a kind, approachable and professional person who treats every client as an individual- key qualities for Alsters Kelley staff.”

Ms Carney added; “I look forward to playing a key part in developing this new service at Alsters Kelley and bringing my local as well as legal knowledge to this firm.”

Liz Carney will be based at the Coventry office on Manor Terrace.
