With Alsters Kelley’s Help, Will Aid has Beaten Past Records

Early indications show that the recent Will Aid campaign was the most successful ever. To date, more than £870,000 (including Gift Aid) has been received. This is already higher than the previous campaign's total of £732,000 and money is still coming in steadily.
Solicitors at Alsters Kelley who carried out the work are absolutely delighted at this achievement. Neil Raiseborough, Head of the Probate Client team said:
"We have taken part in Will Aid for the last few campaigns. This year we raised £1,075, making this our most successful year yet.
"We are delighted to have raised so much money for the Will Aid charities to help fund their vital work here in the UK and around the world helping people to transform their lives.
"We are also pleased that the campaign has encouraged so many local people to write their Will and so save families and loved ones from the misery of intestacy.”
This money will be put to work by the Will Aid charities to make a real and immediate difference to the lives of people in need in the UK and around the world.
But, the Will Aid success story does not end there – many of the Will-makers promised legacies to the Will Aid charities and this will help ensure that their vital work can continue to help future generations. And, all of this was achieved in just a few weeks.
Since Will Aid clients are giving to charity rather than paying their solicitor, Will Aid provides just the push many people need to write their Will and so protect their loved ones from the stress and complications that arise when someone dies without one. Feedback from Will-makers was very positive and many intend to go back to their Will Aid solicitor for their future legal needs as well as recommending them to family and friends.
Shirley Marsland, Will Aid Campaign Manager, said: "We are very grateful to the generous solicitors who worked so hard for Will Aid. They consistently exceed our expectations and are a wonderful example of what can be achieved with hard work and enthusiasm.
"We’d also like to thank all those members of the public who were motivated to make their Will with Will Aid. The money they donated will make a real difference to the lives of children, families and the elderly in need around the world.
"We would like to remind all those, both solicitors and will-makers, who may have missed out on Will Aid 2008 that the scheme will be running again this November.”
